We are delighted to share this fifth SCAN Sparks podcasts of this summer in which Myriam Mouflih talks to our Artist Policy Officer Sekai Machache.

    Myriam Mouflih is a freelance curator, film programmer and writer born in Casablanca, Morocco and based in Glasgow, UK. In this conversation she talks about her work at the Africa in Motion festival, her role as a former Transmission gallery committee member and the ethics and practice of supporting the “solar system” of artists, groups and networks around the gallery. Myriam is an associate programmer of the 2021 Berwick Film and Media Arts Festival. She also works with SCAN as our programme co-ordinator.

Here in the fourth of five SCAN Sparks podcasts to be released this spring and summer our Artist Policy Officer Sekai Machache speaks to Briana Pegado, the Founder and Director of the Edinburgh Student Arts Festival (ESAF), a social enterprise that supported public access to the arts and youth access to the creative sector. 

    Briana is also Creative Director of Fringe Of Colour Films, Co-Director of We Are Here Scotland, Chair of The Young Women's Movement Scotland and sits on the advisory board of the Travelling Gallery. In 2014 Briana was elected Edinburgh University Students Association’s first ever black woman president in its 130-year history.
