Cuz Joe (Black N Blue Productions)

    Listen up!
This is available now on all platforms here:
    https://linktr.ee/thebrooklynblastfurnace

Cuz Joe and I sat down for an hour and a half.
We start off talking about the hypocrisy and lies surrounding what was going to be a show in Tompkins Square Park to benefit Jesse Malin. But it worked out and it was moved to this Friday night at Irving Plaza.
We go into this years BnB Bowl where
Agnostic Front is celebrating and 40 years of "Victim in Pain".
From the new NYC Tattoo and Arts Convention at Terminal 5 to stories about The Outlaw Vinnie Stigma, reminiscing about past BnB Bowls to the
East Village Radio show coming back.
This was a lot of fun to do. He'll definitely be back on whenever something is coming up. Thanks for your time, Cuz. Respect.

The Return of Lou Koller (Sick Of It All)

The Return of Lou Koller (Sick Of It All)

    It's Clobberin' Time!!!

The return of Lou Koller of Sick Of It All has dropped on all platforms. It's been several years since he was on the podcast. A lot has happened since we last had a conversation like this.
"Scratch The Surface" turned 30 years old, "Blood, Sweat and No Tears" turned 35!
"Death To Tyrants" turned 18, and "Based On A True Story" made its 14th revolution around the sun. We talk about all of that.
From anniversaries, to the impact of the pandemic on touring, to recording a new record. We might talk about Craig Ahead and wonder why a particular band is his choice as a benchmark for hardcore. From Steven Seagal to miniature ponies to the recording of "Wake The Sleeping Dragon"... we cover a lot.
We go for just under two hours after we both wondered what we were going to talk about. This was a lot of fun, a lot of laughs, and was awesome to catch up with him. The utmost respect.

Vato Rob (Everybody Gets Hurt. Red Eyed Devil. Terror Ave.)

Vato Rob (Everybody Gets Hurt. Red Eyed Devil. Terror Ave.)

My guest on this episode was years overdue to join me on the podcast. My friend, singer for Everybody Gets Hurt, Red Eyed Devil, formerly of Terror Ave. and Setback... Vato Rob Cullin aka Twiggz, aka Rob EGH aka Rob IDS. The guitarist, Miami Frank and drummer, Mario for EGH make cameos for a couple of minutes.
We talk about everything from the early days of EGH and how Terror Ave. was spawned. We go into the initial break-up of EGH and into Red Eyed Devil. Along with the music of Red Eyed Devil, which was an honor for me to sit and witness its progression from the first and second demos and the full length record. Rob talks about how him and bass player Chris B. met and their long-lasting friendship since Junior High School. Rob is one of my favorite humans on the planet and has nothing but respect for him and each and every one of the members of the band.
Rest in Peace, Lil Gregg Heyward.
We all miss ya, kid! Enjoy.

    Joe Stanley (Perseverance. Veteran. Departed)

    Joe Stanley (Perseverance. Veteran. Departed)

Joe Stanley is the guest on this episode of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace. I had him on very briefly during a This Is Hardcore Festival back in 2017.
This time around, we have a full conversation about what he has been up to as well as his new charity, PERSEVERANCE that supports Veterans. He is a combat veteran himself and has seen his share of conflict.
Joe is a great guy and I have nothing but the utmost respect for him and what he is doing in order to give back to veterans with PTSD.

The Rap Trainwreck (Diabolic. Nightwalker. Coast. A.M. Early Morning)

The Rap Trainwreck (Diabolic. Nightwalker. Coast. A.M. Early Morning)

You were warned, and I knew it was gonna happen.

Prepare yourself for a barrage of banter, jokes, offensive language, and nonsense from four underground rappers and producers.
Diabolic has been on several times before, as has Coast Locastro. I hit up Nightwalker to see if he was down to come on the podcast, and he was, and told me he just wrapped a record with A.M. Early Morning, so it would be cool to talk about it.
We go from why Coast is wearing Amazon sunglasses in a dark room, why a couple of us live like cavemen and don't have the new, fancy bidet models, to inclement weather, the mafia, gangs in Chicago, my book Relatively Unscathed and what Coast ate for dinner earlier that night.
Strap in because it's a chaotic one. Respect.

Sal Abruscato (Type O Negative. Life Of Agony. APHND. King Of The Locusts)

Sal Abruscato (Type O Negative. Life Of Agony. APHND. King Of The Locusts)

The one and only Sal Bbruscato is my guest on this episode of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace. We speak about growing up in Brooklyn in the mid-eighties into the nineties and how he wound up meeting Peter Steele. From playing drums in Toximia to becoming a member of Type O Negative. We discuss recording Slow, Deep and Hard as well as Bloody Kisses. We touch on his time in Life Of Agony for a bit as well as recording River Runs Red. Then into him creating A Pale Horse Named Death. He has a new project in the works which we discuss as well, King of the Locusts. I hope he releases some new material sooner than later. This was, as always, a fun conversation to have. Respect.
