She was a zany stew of platinum curls, petulance, bee-stung lips, and outrageous pretension who maintained that she was born "on my father's boat whilst we were at sea," though records proved that she was born Marie Adrienne Koenig in Portsmouth, Virginia.“

To quote the introduction of Charles L. Epting’s biography on Bebe Daniels: „Defining the career of Bebe Daniels is not easy. She was a Shakespearean actress and she was a comedienne. She was a vamp and she was a flapper. She was a radio star and shows a war hero. She was a television personality and she was a singer. She was a mother and she was a criminal. In the entire history of Hollywood, there is only one Bebe Daniels.“

(….)” But as he grew older, Tyrone got more and more disillusioned with the Hollywood star machine.
