The Rest Is Politics

The latest episode of "The Rest is Politics US" is a must-listen! Finally an analysis that doesn’t shy away from the tough questions around Biden’s adequacy to be the democratic candidate.

This podcast is one of the best shows out there, Alistair and Rory are clever, insightful, well connected and opinionated. Some episodes are a treat to listen to (i.e. that interview with the spies), especially when the hosts are discussing issues slightly off the beaten track of daily news coverage. The ad- hoc stuff they have been coming out with recently however is not really my cup up tea. They seem to be trying to blur the lines between podcasts and “proper” journalism and that is not working very well. There simply is no such thing as an „emergency podcast“ and real journalists are still much better placed to report on things like the democratic convention. My advice would be to stay focussed on the big picture (maybe go even deeper on some issues) and leave the current stuff to the mayor news outlets.
