Lest We Choose Not To Remember // PSA 022 [SOLO]

Lest We Choose Not To Remember // PSA 022 [SOLO]

It is Remembrance Day today, and 2020 strikes again - we cannot gather in remembrance of the great sacrifices made to defend our land and our lives. However, I think this 11/11 is the perfect opportunity to take ‘remembrance’ to a greater, more inclusive level. In this brief solo episode, I discuss why it’s important that we consider the sacrifices of all nation-defenders who live on Canadian soil, particularly because the soil we occupy originally had defenders of its own. Today, join me in acknowledging both Canadian and Indigenous sacrifices, because we all deserve a better future.

    Isaiah 53 [NLT] - Read and Review // PSA 021 [R&R]

Isaiah 53, The Prophecy of the Lord’s Suffering Servant 🙌🏾 After a summer hiatus, I’m back to bring you an episode of R&R. I give my thoughts on why this impactful passage of scripture compelled me to come out of unintentional podcast retirement to read and share it with you. Be encouraged, and enjoy!

Publishing Indigenous Perspectives and Managing People and Pups - Noah Miller // PSA 019 [INTERVIEW]

Apparently a published work and one Masters degree isn’t enough! In today’s episode, Noah shares how both selfless and ulterior motives drive his pursuit of continued education, while his photography pursuits directly led to me being a poster boy for yet another UVic department... he’s a pet owner by day, a program manager by trade, and a beer maker (genuine Miller, anyone?) just for fun. I know you’ll enjoy today’s episode!

Water First - A different kind of Canada Day 🇨🇦 // PSA 018 [SOLO]

Water First - A different kind of Canada Day 🇨🇦 // PSA 018 [SOLO]

Every Canadian needs safe drinking water. In today’s episode, I share my two cents on donating dollars to Water First. Canada is by no means the perfect country, but we citizens can do our part in bringing reconciliation into our daily thoughts and actions. On Canada Day, I chose to donate to a charitable organization that will bring clean water to Indigenous communities in Canada. What can you do for a fellow Canadian? Check out https://waterfirst.ngo if you’re interested in backing this particular cause 💪🏾💧

    Psalm 63 [NLT] - Read and Review (Pilot) // PSA 017 [R&R]

Psalm 63! I thought I’d try something new today and share some quick thoughts about an impactful passage of scripture I’ve come across in my daily devotions. Memorizing scripture and applying it to ourselves gives the Bible more relevance to everyday life! Feel free to let me know if you find it valuable for me to read out scripture and share my comments, as this is my pilot R&R (“Read and Review”) episode! Thanks for your feedback and support along the way!
