Meet the guest: Dr. Pat Halbur is a professor and department chair at Iowa State University. He holds a DVM, MS, and Ph.D. in Veterinary Pathology. With over 38 years of experience, Dr. Halbur has made significant contributions to swine health and production, particularly in building the Swine Medicine Education Center. His research focuses on swine infectious disease diagnosis, prevention, and control, particularly in the porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus, porcine circovirus, and hepatitis E viruses.
