Learn new things
22/03/2016
I’ve been listening to the show for a few months now and definitively it’s a place to learn new things about confidence, relationships hacks, networking, non-verbal communication among other things. Jordan and the team bring new experienced people in each episode to talk not only about their life but to bring resources the listeners can use to improve their everyday life. You’ve got a team who pays attention who they bring on each episode, focus them into the topic at hand and values promoted by the show, gives simple examples when some topics can get confusing and listens to the audience each week through fan mail friday (not a good place to start…by experience) Any adult can learn something to improve their lives and this is a great place to start!
Life changing

I’m not a hyperbole guy. In fact, I don’t remember the last time I was actually changed by something I read or listened to. I mean, I more than occasionally get exposed to different media products that had a nice message, but to me very few things were more than that. Like, you get what the point is and you maybe say “Yeah, maybe I should do that” but that’s it. That was until I tuned in to The Art of Charm (AoC). I started listening a few months ago and I have to say I have changed for the better. I say it in the sense that my perspective on topics like personal relationships (I’m married), human intelligence and excellence, happiness, among other things has changed so much. I see things completely differently. I guess it’s no wonder since you get exposed to experts and high-performers of all life trades who provide insight on their success. This wouldn’t be possible without the excellent interviews. I mean that in the sense that Jordan doesn’t let the guests to get away with general or ambiguous phrases like “you have to be social” or “you need to get good at what you do”. He will aways ask how, when and why questions. And when things get hard to understand he will try to make an analogy or just say it to the guest; “Could you explain a litter better?”. The purpose is to obtain replicable practical steps that the audience can replicate. That is awesome. Give it a chance. Listen a few episodes while you commute to work (like I do). You have nothing to lose. A good one to start is the interview to Cal Newport.
