Seattle resident Alex Same talks to us about being part of the excellent Chance of Rain video series that was created by Carter le Blank and Derek Brown. He also discusses what it was like working on Illegal Smiles with Josiah Blee, Jake Dotson and the rest of his highly skilled crew. In addition to this, we chat about how he got hooked up with Deal With It SF, TNEC and most recently Blank. Alex has a very interesting approach to skating. The majority of the spots he is interested in are not your typical session obstacles, but one-hit wonders that you get one trick on and then you move on. In many cases, just rolling away from the spot is good enough because he regularly takes on rough, nasty, unforgiving and downright scary setups...and he seems to thrive on it!
