Author Chat: Andrea Stewart

SFF Addicts

Join host Adrian M. Gibson and fantasy author Andrea Stewart for a chat about her wild, long journey to get published, the origins of The Bone Shard Daughter, her new novel The Bone Shard Emperor, writing sequels and planning a trilogy, worldbuilding, morally grey characters, family expectations, painting and much more.

About the Author:

Andrea Stewart is the author of The Drowning Empire series, including The Bone Shard Daughter and The Bone Shard Emperor. Her parents always emphasized science and education, so she spent her childhood immersed in Star Trek and odd-smelling library books. When her (admittedly ambitious) dreams of becoming a dragon slayer didn't pan out, she instead turned to writing books. In addition to writing, she can be found herding cats, looking at birds, and falling down research rabbit holes.
