Jeremy Lent - how to change the operating system of our society

The Expedition

Jeremy Lent is the author of two great books called 'The Patterning Instinct' and 'The Web of Meaning'.

Jeremy has gone through a profound change in his own life - and nature has helped him becoming the person who he is today. That is a perfect point to start our conversation.

After that we dig into years of research in order to help us understand how we can live in harmony with nature. In this episode, we start with his own journey from being the CEO of a credit card company to one of the greatest thinkers of our time. In our conversation, we touch upon a few topics:
- why has our current worldview 'expired', how does that affect safety, equality and climate?
- why would we need an ecological civilization and what would it look like?
- what has Jeremy learned from his credit card company days, and how can you as a listener take that knowledge to work tomorrow?
- we would need to 'change the operating system of our society', that sounds pretty big; why would we need it and how do we do it?
- what can we learn from extreme veganism from the 90's?
- where do you, as a manager, consultant, coach, leader or entrepeneur start if you want to use Jeremy's knowledge and contribute to a safe, sustainable, happy and equal world?
