    Did you know New England and Canada had their own "Conquistador"? The Hidden Hand Behind America's Coastal Map: in 1524-1525, Esteban Gomez and 29 Spaniards mapped for the first time the entire East Coast of what is now the United States and Canada, from Florida to Nova Scotia, marking a significant yet underrecognized achievement in exploration history. Some even point that Esteban was of African origin. This exploration led to the first map of the East Coast of the United States, detailing rivers, capes, and key geographical features that were previously unknown. The video also touches on the reasons this significant exploration is not widely known.
