How to Practice Acceptance to Change Your Drinking and Navigate Life’s Storms

In this episode, I share a presentation on the powerful concept of acceptance. Acceptance means embracing the present moment and our emotions as they are, without trying to alter them. This approach is incredibly beneficial when dealing with life’s stresses and challenges, helping us to cope without resorting to alcohol. Acceptance has been a transformative tool in my journey to change my drinking and improve my life.  This episode covers:  Common misconceptions about acceptance (it’s not passive, weak, or about giving up, but rather about facing reality with courage)  Exercises and techniques to practice acceptance  How to accept all of our emotions (even the “icky” ones) – the essential work of sitting with feelings  The role of acceptance in changing your drinking  And more!  I hope you find this helpful.
