Methanol as a fuel to combat Climate Change Podcast

Methanol has been touted as a future fuel due to increasingly stringent climate ambitions to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.  Its clean-burning properties and ability to be produced from an array of renewable and bio feedstocks have been crucial in its position as an advantageous fuel.  Methanol as also been identified as a strategic energy product for India, as the country works towards bolstering energy security by looking at domestic production of energy products. 

Methanol Institute organized a fireside chat with Dr. V.K. Saraswat (Member, NITI Aayog) to shed light on the future of methanol economy post COVID-19 and discuss the long way that India has come since NITI Aayog published “India’s Leapfrog to Methanol Economy”.
