In 1619, Doris Francis Barbara was a night farmer in Pea Town, and—though mortal—she was also a witch. About to be burnt alive, she was rescued by The Pyramid and then abruptly forced into an eternity of servitude. But, unlike the kindred around her, Doris became aware that their leader was manipulating them. Refusing to serve Lucius Balefire without something in return, she lost an eye. If she continues her defiance, what will she lose next?
