59 minutes de régal tous les jours - en anglais
Regardez les nouvelles du jour selon Amy Goodman. Une angle clairement différent de ce que nous pouvons voir par ailleurs sur Fox, CNN, CBS, etc... L'indépendance de la presse aux Etats-Unis ayant plus ou moins disparue, Democracy Now! et le dernier bastion de la presse libre et si ce n'était pas pour ses 1+ million de téléspecateurs cette emmission aurait été interdite d'une manière ou d'une autre. Gagnante du Prix Pulitzer, Amy Goodman se bat pour faire connaître la vérité sur l'Amérique qui est en train de sacrément changer. Pour combien de temps encore pourra-t-elle le faire!!
Recommendation pour ceux qui ne peuvent pas consacrer une heure entière: regardez les premières 10-12 minutes car vous aurez toutes les nouvelles du jour. Le reste de l'emmission rentre en profondeur sur 1 ou 2 sujets souvent absolument passionant. Petit b-mol mais sans grande importance: un peu trop à gauche à mon goût et comme toutes les presses extrèmes l'approche des faits est un peu simpliste.
L'émission de la gauche américaine…
Si vous avez marre d'entendre la parole selon Bush et Sarkozy sur CNN, Democracy Now! est de loin la meilleure option pour écouter les infos en anglais. 10 minutes d'actualités en début de l'émission puis un ou plusieurs features chaque jour. Souvent des interviews avec des grands noms de l'actualité (Jimmy Carter, Louise Arbor, des survivants de Katrina à NOrléans) ou des grands noms du monde intellectuel américain (Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, Cornel West). Si vous avez douté qu'il y a une vraie gauche américain, vous serez surpris ! Actuellement il se peut que la gauche américain est plus vivante que la gauche française et il n'y a nullepart mieux pour la découvrir .
