A New Record Blue Catfish Has Been Caught
There is a new record breaking catfish in Ohio. The giant blue catfish was caught by 15 year-old high school sophomore Jaylynn Parker. The fish was caught while jug fishing with her family on the Ohio River.
Once certified this could become the new state record for a blue catfish in Ohio. The potential new record caught by Jaylynn Caught was 101 pounds, and it was released alive after being weighed on certified scales by Ohio Department of Wildlife.
This new record 101 pound catfish eclipses the previous Ohio blue catfish record of 96 pounds.

What's Killing All the Catfish
Have you ever wondered, what is a pay lake? If you fish for catfish, you probably want to catch a really big catfish at some point.
For most catfish fishermen this means fishing for catfish in a local lake or river. For others, who are not near bodies of water with catfish, this means fishing in a pay-to-fish-lake, also known as a pay lake.
Paylakes are places where you pay to fish in a private lake that is stocked with catfish from a public body of water. In this video podcast I will discuss what pay lakes are and how they impact the catfishing world.
Some of the biggest catfish in America are caught in public water and transported to pay lakes where people pay to fish for them. Fishing for giant catfish in pay to fish lakes is nothing new. The catfish pay lakes have been around a long time and are very popular.

Can Sea Tow Legally Do This?
If you are a boater, you may have Sea Tow insurance, or you may have considered joining Sea Tow. In my opinion it is a good idea to have towing insurance for your boat, and Sea Tow may be a good choice.
There are some important things to consider if you do not have boat insurance and you become stranded or grounded. In this podcast we discuss a recent situation where Sea Tow cam under fire for their actions after towing a boat where a boat was lost at sea and died.
A massive search for Jeff Kale and his boat took place after he went missing off the North Carolina coast. Jeff Kale was never found, but his boat was found and recovered by Sea Tow.
Many will ask, was Sea Tow wrong for doing this, and is it legal for Sea Tow to do this. It's a question that you will have to answer for yourself when it comes to Sea Two and how they handed this situation.

Missing Fisherman's Boat Found
A missing fisherman's boat was found Tuesday. The boat of missing fisherman Jeff Kale of Clover SC was found today off the North Carolina coast just hours after the United States Coast Guard called off the search. Kale went missing on Saturday, and a widespread search was conducted all of Sunday and Monday with no results.

On Tuesday as fisherman in the area spotted the 32 foot Cape Horn boat of Jeff Kale about 80 miles off the coast of Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina.
