    Yoga Files: Modern Yoga & How We Got Here - Leslie Kaminoff Yoga Educator & Author of Yoga Anatomy

    Welcome to Yoga Files.  This is part of my Expert Events Podcast with a focus on Yoga Teachers and Yoga practitioners with at least 30 years of yoga experience.    Leslie Kaminoff is a yoga educator inspired by the tradition of T.K.V. Desikachar. He is an internationally recognised specialist with four decades’ experience in the fields of yoga and breath anatomy. He leads workshops for many of the leading yoga associations, schools and training programs in the world.  Leslie and I have known each other since the late 1980s in downtown New York's gritty arts and Yoga community. Although I have only seen Leslie once since 1994 - he is that rare person with a great memory and feeling for people who can easily pick up a relationship as though no time at all has passed.  Yes, we did speak for 2 hours (actually longer before I hit record and after I powered off). I was going to turn this into 2 Parts but did not want to disrupt the flow, as I listened I just couldn't bring myself to chop it up.  I hope you'll take the time to watch in stages and do listen to the whole thing!    Leslie has so many insights as to how people and events from LA and NYC converged to shape our modern yoga. He has been involved in so much of the momentum; which you will hear all about in this podcast.     Awaken Fascia and Soar to Superior Athleticism with Coach Chong Xie

    Chong Xie is Founder of Hyperarch Fascia Training, and the Functional Fascia Coach for 2x UFC Champion Zhang Weili.  Chong deeply researched and implements a ground breaking method for superior training and guides basketball players, UFC athletes as well as young athletes and kids.    Several years ago, while looking for information on glute strength, I landed on Chong's instagram and seeing photos he'd posted on number 1 athlete's feet - kind of blew me away.  From what I gathered at the time, he trained the feet to develop in this way, which in turn began to develop the fascial intelligence of these great players.  I was hooked!
