Episode 49: Corpse STDs, Imposter Syndrome, and Bad Medical Advice - with special guest Tony Coffman
Please welcome Tony Coffman (@tonycoffman on Twitter) to the world of podcasting as he joins me to discuss one of the best horror debuts in history, Excision. Ricky Bates Jr's first movie is a hauntingly beautiful coming of age tale told in that quintessentially Ricky Bates Jr way. He has a truly unique voice in cinema and really succeeded out of the gate.
Excision is available on Amazon Prime, free with ads a number of services, and on VOD: https://www.justwatch.com/us/movie/excision
Please also check out Tony's article on Gayly Dreadful at https://www.gaylydreadful.com/blog/pride-2020-life-changing-excision.

Episode 48: The Impossible Gold Ninja Teddy Bomb -- featuring filmmaker & rescuer Justin Decloux
Justin Decloux joins me to chat a bit about his experiences as a filmmaker and as a blu ray distributor in a digital world. Please go check out his site, GoldNinjaVideo.com and peruse his titles. He's got a little bit of everything that anyone could want, from his original films Teddy Bomb (which Leigh Whannel shamelessly ripped off) and Impossible Horror, to future cult classics like Flesh Freaks, Personal Space Invader, and Dinosaurs in a Mining Facility.
If you're a digital guy, check out Teddy Bomb online at http://www.teddybomb.com/ and Impossible Horror at https://impossiblehorror.com/ and give these awesome films a watch!

Episode 47: Conspiracies, Spies, Stanley Kubrik, and OJ Simpson -- With Filmmakers Chance Shirley and Jeremy Burgess
Listen in for the first fully 'conversational' episode in awhile as I round up friends of the show Chance Shirley (director of Hide and Creep, Interplanetary, and For A Few Zombies More) and Jeremy Burgess (director of the forthcoming Don't Die) to talk about a pair of epic conspiracy thrillers:
1977's Capricorn One directed by Peter Hyams (Timecop, 2010: The Year We Made Contact), and starring Elloit Gould, James Brolin, OJ Simpson, and Karen Black (among others).
2016's Operation: Avalanche directed by Matt Johnson (The Dirties, Nirvanna the Band the Show) and starring Matt along with his buddy Owen Williams
Both movies are easily watchable via HBO Max and Amazon Prime, respectively, and are definitely worth your time.
To find Chance's films, check out his website, crewless.com and find him on Twitter: @Crewless
For more about Jeremy and his upcoming film, check out Don't Die on Seed & Spark: https://seedandspark.com/fund/dont-die#updates and find him on Twitter @JD_Burge.

Episode 44: "Work hard, say 'damn' a lot" and more advice from Josh Stifter
Ok, this week I have an update on some previous crowdfunding projects I mentioned, including the successful conclusion to Fat Fleshy Fingers on Kickstarter!! This week's project is a GoFundMe from the filmmakers behind Silent Shadow, Yolit Rios (on Instagram @yolitsvisionary) and Gary Jay (on Instagram @garyjayjr): (Silent Shadow short: https://youtu.be/q4iFFk6PT8M). They're raising money for a new western short with a black lead. Link below, and I'm trying to get them on the show.
Also covered, briefly, is the trailer for Animosity, the first film from Brendan Steere. He actually won awards for this film at Buffalo Dreams way back in 2013, but it's only now getting released thanks to the smash hit that was The VelociPastor. I also go on a rant about Michael Epstein (https://twitter.com/MichaelJEpstein) sending me down a rabbit hole of obscure 80's rock musicals (titles and links below)
New Projects discussed on this episode:
Lucky Lucy on GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/f/lucky-lucy-short-film
Animosity coming soon from the director of The VelociPastor: https://youtu.be/mxkgYI4EzXY
The Good Exorcist available on TubiTV, Plex, and rental, coming soon on Blu from Troma: https://www.justwatch.com/us/movie/the-good-exorcist
Obscure 80's Rock Musicals mentioned on this episode:
