Geelong were 25 points up in a prelim final on the cusp of another Grand Final berth before the wheels fell off their season, there's no reason to suggest they can't get back there again in 2025 considering the additions of Bailey Smith and Jack Martin.

A fully-fit Max Holmes paired in the midfield with freshly contracted skipper Paddy Dangerfield and potentially a healthy Toby Conway in the ruck gives the Cats the avenue to compete again deep into September.
