In this first podcast you will hear a story about a common problem in metro tunnels: the problem of water ingress to the track infrastructure. For many metro operators the challenge is to keep a very old network alive. They are looking for a suitable solution for the refurbishment of worn-out bi-block slab track systems with a need to realize the replacement during very short possession times. Let me introduce you to the main character of our story: Tim. Tim is Chief Inspection Engineer and today he is on his monthly inspection tour in a metro tunnel in his hometown. He is responsible for inspecting the track infrastructure to ensure safety and operational capability.
