13. x4 Open Heart Surgeries to a 4 hour 58 Half Ironman - The Story of Joe Mc Connellogue (pt1) Endure: The Athlete's Story
-
- Sport
This is an inspirational story of resilience, determination and endurance, but not just in a sporting context. Joe Mc Connellogue had to be all these things in the fight for his life as he underwent 4 open heart surgeries in the last 20 years due to a heart condition that went undetected until he was 27 when he had to have his first surgery. Joe who turns 50 next year had his 4th and most life threatening surgery in June 2019, and just 2 years later he completed a half Ironman in a time of 4hours 58mins in July 2021. This is a story of hope, positivity, and inspiration. I hope you enjoy this episode and please share it with somebody who needs to hear this because we will all know somebody who needs this!
