Travis Alabanza

On the 8th episode of Lavender Language, we're speaking with writer, performance artist and poet Travis Alabanza. We travel through Travis’s trajectory, from childhood growing up on a council estate in Bristol, fast forward to their most recent performance project, Burgerz. We discuss how Travis found writing and poetry, how performing various gigs around London's queer club scene informed their practice, the conception and inspiration of Burgerz and the UK's specific problems around discussing transphobia and racism.
