    EPISODE 123: LOUISE ATKINSON

    EPISODE 123: LOUISE ATKINSON

In this episode, I talk to the wonderful comedian, LOUISE ATKINSON.
Hailing from Hull, Atkinson has performed at many comedy nights on the UK circuit and is wonderfully affable and confident on stage.  Her themes are extremely relatable, and she delivers exceptionally funny observations on life.
I first saw Atkinson on stage as a finalist in the Amused Moose National New Comic Final at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2018.  The deserved winner was Maisie Adam, yet Atkinson showed great promise, and I watched her again as a guest act for Birdies Comedy showcase in 2018 and then for Tickled Pink Supporting Women in Comedy at 21 Soho in in 2022.  In 2023, I saw her brilliant debut solo show Mates at the Vaults Festival and in 2024, a work-in-progress of her new show, She Got the Look, at the Hastings Comedy Festival.
Thank you so much for listening to my podcast, if you like what you hear, please subscribe and I hope you enjoy the interview.

    EPISODE 122: SIMON RANDALL

In this episode, I talk to the comedy promoter and compere, SIMON RANDALL.
Headliners Comedy Club based at the George IV pub in Chiswick, London is one of the regular comedy clubs I attend and has been running for over 20 years.  Promoter, Simon Randall is the creator and compere of this wonderful club which is well organised and very popular.  With shows on Fridays and Saturdays throughout most of the year, the club attract top comedy acts such as Alan Davies, Omid Djajlili, Paul McCaffrey, Seann Walsh and Boothby Graffoe to name a few.  Randall is also responsible for the EALING Comedy Festival held each year at Walpole Park again attracting established acts and big crowds.  Randall has and continues to make a major contribution to British comedy.

    EPISODE 119: BEN POPE

    EPISODE 119: BEN POPE

In this episode, I talk to the fantastic comedian, BEN POPE.
Starting comedy at university, where he was president of the Cambridge Footlights (2013 /2014), Ben Pope is a rising star on the comedy circuit both as a compere and as a performer.  He is a gifted storyteller and brilliant comedy writer.  Effortlessly at ease on stage with an audience, he has an extremely likeable stage presence and has toured internationally and around the UK, including critically acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.
I have seen Pope compering and performing at Always Be Comedy in 2022 and delivering his solo show Holy Cow at the Vault Festival and the Soho Theatre in London in 2023, plus a guest spot for On The Edge Best of the Fest at the Brighton Fringe in 2023 and a full work in progress show at the Brighton Fringe in 2024.

    EPISODE 118: RED RICHARDSON

In this episode, I talk to the wonderful comedian, RED RICHARDSON.
The comedian Red Richardson is the son of director and screenwriter Peter Richardson of The Comic Strip fame. Known for his hysterically funny jittery side full of angst, Richardson has a wonderful delivery and presence on stage.  His two Edinburgh Fringe solo shows Seeing Red in 2018 and Shots Fired in 2022 both won critical acclaim.
I have seen Richardson appear as a guest for the Boatshow Comedy Club at The Tattershall Castle on The Embankment in London in 2022.
