    Rob Muir

    Rob Muir

Rob's a regular over on Arran. I first met him in 2017 when I supported him in the PHT in Lamlash and we've been corresponding ever since. He came over to play last weekend (16 Nov 2019) and we hung out on the Sunday morning and captured a recording as we walked my dogs. We spoke about his career and got into fear and anxiety and following your heart. This is a good one!

I got a chance to talk to one of the world's finest fingerstyle guitar players, Clive Carroll at the annual RMMGA UK gathering in July 2019. It was lovely talking and even better hearing his playing that night!

Hi, I'm Cams, a music teacher on the Isle of Arran in Scotland. I've been playing guitar since 1991 and gigging for over 15 years. I teach privately at my home on Arran and enjoy making video lessons and podcasts about the guitar world. I am what could safely be called a guitar geek!

Jenn Butterworth was on Arran for the 25th Arran Folk Festival in June 2019. She and I sat down for a cup of tea and a chat. We talked about music, teaching and, of course, guitars and gear!

In Conversation With...

The presenter’s style is very much ‘in conversation with...’ making this podcast very listenable (is that a word?)

Lasting for about 30 minutes or so, interviews are with people involved in the acoustic guitar world - players like Gordon Giltrap and Will McNicol or luthiers such as Adrian Lucas.

Cams lets the interviewers speak and gently guides the programme along with questions or comments only when the interviewer has said what they want to say on a particular subject.

I’m looking forward to seeing who Cams interviews next!
