There Are No Bad Parts of You: Accepting Yourself with IFS

There Are No Bad Parts of You: Accepting Yourself with IFS

Is there just one “you”? We have been taught that we have a single identity, but when the voices inside our heads don’t match our own self perception, emotions heighten and we might even question our entire existence. Want to know a little secret? You’re not alone in feeling this way, but feel liberated in knowing that there are no “bad” parts of you.
Dr. Richard Schwartz’s Internal Family Systems (IFS) model has been transforming psychology for decades and we are honored to have him on the show to talk about his new book “No Bad Parts.” In this episode, you’ll learn what IFS is and why it has been so effective in areas such as trauma recovery.
You’ll also hear role play with both K+L, as Dr. Schwartz walks them through uncovering their own abandoned parts. When we learn to love all of our parts, we can learn to love all people, and ultimately this can help heal ourselves and the world.
    We also talk about:

Hypocrisy of Wokeness and Corporate America's Social Justice Scam

Vivek Ramaswamy is a New York Times bestselling author and a successful entrepreneur, who joins Krista on the podcast to discuss the importance of diversity of thought. A first-generation American, he has founded multibillion-dollar enterprises, led a biotech company as a CEO and studied at Ivy League universities.
Now, in his latest book, Woke Inc., he takes us behind the scenes into corporate boardrooms, five-star conferences, university classrooms and more, to reveal the industrial complex that has divided us as a society.
In this episode, Vivek and Krista discuss how America’s elites prey on our innermost insecurities about who we really are. Vivek not only rips back the curtain on the new corporatist agenda, but also offers a way forward—exploring what it means to be an American today.

How to Know and When to Let Go

How to Know and When to Let Go

In this solo episode, Krista opens her heart for a deeply personal and vulnerable conversation about how to know and when to let go. In a society obsessed with adding more into our lives via to-do lists, courses, books, posts, etc., we hardly ever stop to think about what we can release.
Krista has found that when she let go of relationships, careers, friendships and parts of herself that were no longer aligned, she experienced greater expansion, growth and ultimately, love. In order to create a life you love, you have to create space—and that’s what this episode is all about.
To put it simply, you cannot open the door to the future you seek while holding onto your past…and when love no longer helps us to be the person we want to be, it’s time to let go.
    We also talk about:
Why we over consume to protect ourselves
Letting go of relationships and careers
What is the Life Edit program
How to create space to receive clarity
The pain of leaving people behind
    Following your heart and soul

Recognizing pain as a portal towards growth
    Creating the future you seek

Toxic Positivity: How It's Holding You Back From Processing Emotions and Connecting Authentically

Do you ever feel like you’re constantly being told to be positive? Whether its through mantras like “good vibes only” and “look on the brightside,” not to mention the endless inspirational quotes and often well intended advice (both online and off), it can feel like silencing our emotions is the only way to live a “happy life.”

A millennial on a quest to make mental health information accessible and easy to understand, Whitney helps people who want to improve their relationships and emotional wellness.
In this episode, Lindsey and Whitney unpack how damaging toxic positivity can be to both ourselves and our relationships. She also provides us with tangible tools on how to work through and process difficult emotions to experience a more fulfilled and authentic life.
    We also talk about:
    What is toxic positivity
How to hold space for yourself and others
Developing a solid foundation in your relationships
    Feeling connected to your body
    Recognizing and preventing burn out

Navigating Grief, Letting Go of Identities and Living Fully with Bozoma Saint John

Navigating Grief, Letting Go of Identities and Living Fully with Bozoma Saint John

The iconic business leader, Bozoma Saint John, comes on the show to discuss her latest venture—her memoir, The Urgent Life. She takes readers through the numbing days of multiple griefs and the courage which these sparked in her to live a life in accordance with her values. K+L have a meaningful, vulnerable conversation that, despites its heavy topics, still features a lot of laughter (one of the many reasons they love Bozoma).
In this episode, the girls dive deep into why Bozoma decided to live life urgently. Her life has been encompassed by many highs and lows, one of which was the death of her husband, Peter. No stranger to adversity, Bozoma recounts life’s tragedies and how she learned to build a remarkable life worth living (even in her brokenness).
Bozoma’s story is heartbreakingly beautiful, though many of its themes are not uncommon. Our hope is this conversation will inspire any listener who has loved, mourned and is finding their way forward, to live life to the fullest.
    We also talk about:

    Embracing her identity unapologetically

    583. How to Find, Cultivate and Keep Real Love with Jay Shetty

    583. How to Find, Cultivate and Keep Real Love with Jay Shetty

We are so thrilled to welcome back to the show, Jay Shetty, #1 New York Times bestselling author, award-winning storyteller, podcast host, and former monk, dedicated to helping people train their mind for peace and purpose every day. He recently released his second book, “8 Rules of Love: How to Find It, Keep It, and Let It Go.”
The truth is, nobody sits down and teaches us love—how to give and fully receive it. Oftentimes, our idea of romance is based on pop culture or movies, but love is nuanced and should be cherished and cultivated. All too often, people feel lonely (even when in a relationship) and lack the fundamental tools needed to make their partnerships last.
That’s why in this episode, Jay and Krista go deep and talk about specific, actionable steps to help you develop the skills to practice and nurture love, so that you can better love yourself, others and the world around you.
    We also talk about:
Why many people feel lonely in relationship
    Cultural expectations of love
How social media and pop culture have perpetuated a false sense of love
The difference between solitude and loneliness
What love is not (Hint: attraction, attention seeking, validation and control)
Defining love through three main components
How to grow with your partner (even if you’re growing at a different pace)
The varying roles in a relationship—”fixer,” “dependent,” and “supporter”
Jay’s second book, 8 Rules of Love is available for purchase at 8RulesofLove.com and wherever books are sold! To catch Jay on his first ever global tour 'Love Rules', go to JayShettyTour.com for tickets. Follow Jay on Instagram and subscribe to his podcast On Purpose.

Such a good podcast

Really enjoy the range of topics and guests that they have on. Love how it has evolved over the years, l’m a long time listener. You can tell a lot of thought and effort goes into each episode. Thank you both! 🤍

Kerri O'S ,

Expansive + heart opening

Appreciate how each episode offers so much opportunity for self enquiry, reflection and expansion. I’ve taken so much from the A30 podcast, directly from Lindsey and Krista and also their epic guests! Always the perfect addition to a long drive 🙌🏼

LaurenKayO ,

Inspiring, growth focused and evolutionary!

This podcast has played such a key part in my inner journey - it has opened me up to sooo many topics and conversations! It has been there at times I’ve felt disconnected and didn’t have a community - it felt like this was my like minded soul community! Every episode has taught me something and taken me on some kind of inner enquiry. I have to say though, as it’s had such a pivotal impact on my work and business direction, the first time I heard an episode with Jenna Zoe on Human Design is the most memorable for me. It set me on a journey with human design…….and I am now a reader :-)
If it wasn’t for Almost 30 I don’t think I’d have began that journey.
Amazing podcast and I always recommend it.
