Ambridge on the Couch - this week on The Archers

Just love this podcast. Somewhere to share my enjoyment of the Archers and Lucy, Harriet and Jeff are a great listen. Thank you guys for all your hard work - you always brighten my week!

Have been an Archers listener on and off for years but was very late to the podcast party. Having discovered Ambridge on the Couch about a month ago I’m working my way through the back catalogue and can’t believe how many recent and current storylines were mentioned as suggestions / predictions ages ago (Pip & Stella getting together was predicted in Stella’s first week on the show!) I really love this podcast… everyone involved loves the Archers as much as I do but also finds it just as frustrating and infuriating! Lucy, Harriet and Jeff make me howl laughing and it just feels like sitting with friends listening to them chat. Thoroughly recommend to all Archers listeners with a sense of humour - anyone without need not apply!!

20 years of listening to the Archers, asking anyone with the remotest chance if they listened to end my solitude… Search no more! Aside from all the wonderful things that people write in these reviews (friendship, humour, empathy for Ambridgians) I want to say you guys are spot on with the actual art of making a podcast. Whatever you do in the industry shows well and makes this technically a joy to listen to instead of trying to navigate whether I enjoy whatever hobby discussion enough to feel like I’m being hit in the head by a frying pan with awkward pacing, exhausting earnestness and people laughing without joy. You guys flow and have an effervescence. (I don’t know what I just did with my newly minted Patreon account, but it’s been a long day. I’ll be back soon.)

In the words of the late great inimitable Tina Turner, - (Ambridge on the Couch is), - “Simply the best, better than all the rest”. which is why we as lovers of “The Archers”, are ardent appreciators Lucy, Harriet, Jeff, James and MAtt Rodriguez Pane for all their skilful painstaking endeavours to keep us all fully informed ,updated and amused. Sit back, relax, laugh maybe possibly shed a tear or two but you’ll definitely enjoy unless you are in fact, as Jane Austen might have phrased it, “lacking such gentile human condition or sensitivities”. A great podcast, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!
