Onze tentoonstellingen, debatten, podcasts en onderzoeksprojecten zijn toegankelijk, maar kritisch; bewust van de historie, maar met de blik op de toekomst gericht. Arcam is the architecture centre of Amsterdam. We organise programmes about architecture and urban development. Our exhibitions, debates, podcasrs and research projects are accessible, yet critical; mindful of history, but with an outlook towards the future.

    Maak kennis met de verborgen groenverhalen van Amsterdam Noord. Samen met activist Hanane Abaydi, architect John Zondag en cardioloog Ad Bakx onderzoekt kunstenaar en (grafisch) ontwerper Wouter Stroet de keerzijde van stedelijke duurzaamheid.   In aflevering #3 bespreekt cardioloog Ad Bakx de impact van bomenkap in Amsterdam Noord. Hij legt uit hoe bomen bijdragen aan gezondheid, luchtzuivering en koelte, en pleit voor het behoud van groen in stedelijke ontwikkeling. Samen met activist Hanane Abaydi, architect John Zondag en cardioloog Ad Bakx onderzoekt kunstenaar en (grafisch) ontwerper Wouter Stroet de keerzijde van stedelijke duurzaamheid.   In aflevering #2 bespreekt architect John Zondag 'sjoemelgroen' en greenwashing in stedelijke projecten. We onderzoeken concrete voorbeelden van gemanipuleerde milieucijfers en de impact op groen en waterkwaliteit in Buiksloterham. Samen met activist Hanane Abaydi, architect John Zondag en cardioloog Ad Bakx onderzoekt kunstenaar en (grafisch) ontwerper Wouter Stroet de keerzijde van stedelijke duurzaamheid.   In de eerste aflevering onderzoekt Hanane Abaydi ecologische gentrificatie en klimaatrechtvaardigheid, en hoe duurzame stadsontwikkeling vaak de witte midden- en hogere klasse bevoordeelt. Ze pleit voor een klimaatrechtvaardige, inclusieve stadsplanning. She has a longstanding interest in bodies and space, her book Space Invaders: race, gender and bodies out of place (2004), generated a conceptual framework for considering the conditions of inclusion within institutions.
