now don't let this pod's title fool you...

...the profanity in it is possibly the best antithesis to the respect and appreciation that the podcast shows towards what is a clearly one of the host's properly loved and lived videogames. The host, David, displays a gentle manner with his interviewees, and careful wit in his scripted bits that is like a stroll through a peaceful village.

The podcast immerses and intrigues regardless of any involvment with animal crossing, or videogames in general. The careful revealing of the game's nature through different people's experience of it serves as a lovely introduction in any case.

I hope you'll come across this and give it a go, I think there's something in it for most listeners.

A gentle stroll around Asstown

David Thair and the Mayors play Animal Crossing so I don't have to. It's a warm, storybook insight into what makes Animal Crossing so charming. I was especially interested by discussion of free trade in turnips, negotiated via LiveJournal. Has inflation affected the value of the bell in the intervening years I wonder? I may spend 120 hours+ elsewhere, but I'm delighted to have stopped in for tea and cake and hope to be invited back in future.
