    Love is Blind

    Love is Blind

Love can make us do extreme things. As the saying goes, “Love is blind”, and a person who is in love, including unrequited love, might find it difficult to judge the consequences of their actions correctly. Even when it comes to the worst crime imaginable… murder.

The Murder in the Woods (Part 2)

The Murder in the Woods (Part 2)

Part 2 in our 2-part exploration of the grisly crime that shook a community. In the previous episode we heard how on a summer evening in 1981, in a small Danish village in the northern part of Jutland, a 16-year-old girl went missing. Four days later, she was found in a nearby forest, hanged by a rope tied to a tree. Her body was partially covered by branches and sticks. So far, there are no clues that could indicate a potential suspect or motive. The police are still looking for the murderer, and begin to make a series of discoveries.

    The Ring of Counterfeiters

    The Ring of Counterfeiters

The story of one of the most serious cases of counterfeit money production ever seen in Denmark. The counterfeit American currency was worth about 200 million kroner - roughly 24 million pounds. A small gang of three people, with the help of a fourth partner working at a distance, managed to print a huge amount of dollars that looked so similar to the original notes that even American special agents were impressed by the quality. This case also involved international drug trafficking, a Danish sailing boat transporting millions, and a Swedish paper mill that delivered the paper to the gang, which was used to print counterfeit dollars to buy heroin in Thailand for importing back to Europe.

    The King of the Rockers

    The King of the Rockers

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Copenhagen, and many other towns of Denmark’s Zealand island, are caught in midst of violence and tensions caused by the War of the Rockers. In Denmark, the term ‘Rocker’ is commonly used to describe people who belonged to the lawless biker sub-cultures of the time. Niels is a part of that culture. Known as ‘the King of the Rockers’, Niels lives on a farm along with his two lovers. The things that happen behind the high walls and the barbed-wire fence of that farm are so terrible they are difficult to imagine, and hidden from public view. But after a man is killed in the Rocker’s fortress, intricate details of what has been going on there spill out to the public.

Not good

What is it with Podimo and their narrators? They’re all so cringey! This particular pod has an added soundtrack to add to the cringe-worthiness. I couldn’t take it and gave up after a few minutes.
