    Premium Episode 5: Franca Viola

PLEASE READ: Premium episodes will be made available to the general audience in the future, as we don’t want to keep cases permanently behind a paywall. But Premium subscribers will receive them first.

In 1963, on the Italian island of Sicily, a wealthy young bachelor named Filippo Melodia began a courtship with a teenager named Franca Viola, much to the displeasure of Franca's father.
Less than three years later, Franca survived a terrifying ordeal, after which both Franca and Filippo had no choice but to leave their fate in the hands of the Sicilian justice system. At the centre of it all were six words and a quiet strength that would change their young lives, and Sicily, forever.

    Case 208: John Chau

    Case 208: John Chau

In 2018, American missionary John Chau sailed out to North Sentinel, a forested island off the coast of India. He intended to spread the word of God to the Sentinelese, a small population of indigenous people considered the most remote tribe in the world. Yet, the Sentinelese have made it very clear to outsiders that they desire isolation above all else.

Miss Brown1234567 ,

Fantastic

Love this podcast. Very informative and respectful of the victims.

jonnyrockstuff ,

Poor use of quote.

Good. But the quote word is dropped in far to much and spoils the narrative. It’s not clever use of the word.

GLF001 ,

Love the show but…

The switch to a monotonous, robotic voice telling the story just doesn’t work. I find it much more difficult to take in any details as it’s very easy to zone out listening to it. Hope it reverts back soon.
