Case 292: Monster of the Andes
*** Content warnings: Child abuse, child victims, sexual assault ***
In the late 1970s, young girls along the Andes mountain range in Ecuador began to disappear. By 1980, the number of missing girls had reached national crisis proportions. Police feared the girls had been abducted by international child traffickers and sold into domestic and sexual slavery. That was until a vigilant market vendor spotted something out of the ordinary.

Case 291: David Pauley, Ralph Geiger & Timothy Kern
In October of 2011, an advertisement was posted on the website Craigslist. It read: Wanted: Caretaker For Farm. Simply watch over a 688 acre patch of hilly farmland and feed a few cows. You get 300 a week and a nice 2 bedroom trailer. Someone older and single preferred but will consider all. Relocation a must. You must have a clean record and be trustworthy—this is a permanent position.

Premium Episode 28: Ina & David Steiner
PLEASE READ: Premium episodes will be made available to the general audience in the future, as we don’t want to keep cases permanently behind a paywall. But Premium subscribers will receive them first.
In 2009, Ina and David Steiner founded an online newsletter called eCommerceBytes. The couple worked hard to establish themselves as knowledgeable, trustworthy and unbiased reporters in the e-commerce industry and were well respected by their niche community. Then in 2019, eCommerceBytes received a scathing message from a Twitter user who took issue with how Ina Steiner reported on the U.S multinational e-commerce company eBay.

Best Podcast
By far and away the best true crime podcast. The depth they go in to each case is truly staggering, whilst always being empathetic towards families who have been effected.
Can’t recommend enough. Outstanding podcast.
I wish they would release more than 1 per week as I’m all caught up and have resorted to re listening to old ones. Excellent work all involved!
Meh
I think this is the only podcast that I’ve listened to that doesn’t seem to offer much sympathy to any of the victims and it’s due to monotonous, robotic voice.
It also feel like they now can’t be bothered putting much effort into the free episodes and it always about the paid stuff.
Hands down best crime podcast
Brilliantly writing and storytelling. No opinions or speculation just facts. The way it is written is sometimes like a feature film, with unrelated times and places coming together to form the picture of the crime. I am still going through the older episodes and drawing the day I run out. Keep up the excellent work!
