Pushing me to think rather than just explaining the news.
Honestly just such a fantastic podcast. I found Watson’s daily earlier this year and have been amazed by the way Peter and his guests are able to distil difficult concepts but also encourage listeners to think critically or opportunistically about current events. I’ve found myself trying to predict what Peter’s conclusions on topics will be before he says them, which is quite fun. I think I’m learning enough to possibly apply to be an ambassador myself at some point!
I’m currently applying for training contracts and listening to this every day, as well as reading (and making my own notes on) the accompanying news bulletins has been invaluable.
As a junior in the first few years of my career this is a fantastic way to keep abreast of current affairs. I have recommended this to so many people already. It’s short snappy and very interesting. Keep up the great work!
How have I only just discovered this? Love this podcast! Great content.
