Season 5: Episode 05: Remi Nicole

This week the lovely Remi Nicole joins me, at my house, for a good ol’ chinwag! The musician and screenwriter is back in London after 10 years in LA, via Mexico – where we have a great discussion about one of my favourite cuisines!

Remi is of mixed heritage: Trinidadian, Austrian and Jewish. She went to a Jewish school in London where she had to deal with questions about how she could be Jewish and black; questions that never seemed to stop. This topic followed her into the music industry where she discusses her experience in the industry and the challenge she faced making what she calls “white music” and execs not knowing what to do with her.
