A great resource
I went through the Bible Recap plan a year and a half ago (a mid year starter) and I found it so helpful to work through the Bible chronologically, to see the whole narrative of scripture played out. I found TLC’s daily podcasts really helpful and insightful as I worked through it as well. While I may not agree with every little thing she says she is well researched, clear and importantly biblically faithful.
This year I started on day 1 and I am also using the Bible Recap study guide and journal to help me to go more deeply into each day’s reading. So far (one week in) I am loving using these additional resources- I can read and ponder in the morning and come back to it in the evening to go a bit deeper.
A reading plan that you can actually stick too
Although I have been a Christian for many years, I haven’t always struggled to read through the whole bible. But not this year (2023) thanks to TLC! I have learnt so much about God and the trinity. I feel I’ve grown in my walk with the Lord, understanding scripture like I never have before. I can’t wait for next year!!
Insightful and Empowering
I’ve been using the YouVersion Bible App for a number of years now to help me read (or rather, listen to) the Bible and I generally use a reading plan to work through the entire Bible in a year.
I’ve done a few plans with Nicky Gumble, which I enjoyed, but found a bit dry and repetitive after the third time. I’ve also worked through with The Bible Project, which was absolutely brilliant as their videos really help to open things up in a clear way, giving fantastic insight to the context of the times in which each book was set.
This year I’ve started The Bible Recap and so far I’m totally loving it.
Tara-Leigh has a great way of focusing on the people and highlighting exactly where God is at each point. I’ve been a Christian since childhood (minus a few years of backsliding, though God was always there, in the background, waiting on me) and I’ve really learned a lot already and we’re only 30 days in!
I really recommend this plan and am grateful for the team that have put it all together.
