Listening to almost every episode of this podcast these days even though I am not American and I don’t live in the USA. I love that there are people out there committed to living out and promoting the gospel (and the truth of God’s Word) in every area, including in politics, which IS important, as much as we try to convince ourselves it isn’t - as Allie says: politics is about policy and policy is about people and we care about people (or something to that effect;)). Thank you Allie and your incredible team for doing this important and RARE, precious work- and I hope you can continue this for a very long time! There is only one big concern I have (not to be minimised as it is a huge life and death issue): and that is about the opinions shared regarding Covid and masking- seen on You Tube shorts- I have very severe ME/CFS and have been bedbound for 6 years (I’m only 43 and have had the illness for 13 years) - and so I sympathise with those who have Long Covid and therefore I would NEVER personally rip apart someone who is sharing about this issue, even if they are commmunicating not very well because they are young - that’s something I noticed regarding the You Tube Short about Violet Affleck and it made me very sad. This is a very serious life destroying physical illness and as Christians I’m shocked that we can’t educate ourselves on these things but rather, incorrectly, take an approach that assumes it is a mental illness “controllable” by the sufferer and that believing that masking might reduce infections and believing that Covid is serious and destroying lives is a “dystopian” idea.
