Hello People, welcome to the When In Yorkshire Podcast I hope you’re doing well.
This is episode 37 and my guest is Monique Powell from US Ska Punk band Save Ferris. I met Monique in Leeds ahead of the Fireball tour which featured Less Than Jake and Goldfinger.
This was the first time I’d met Monique and the first time I’d seen Save Ferris in well over ten years but she was a lot of fun to talk to giving a real insight into her lifetime love of music, her influences and spoke candidly about her experiences in the music industry as a woman and taking control of Save Ferris.
If you’re not aware of Save Ferris, they are a Ska Punk band that draw inspiration from all of the classic Ska bands and add the classic Orange County swing to it making them impossible not to smile and dance to.
