F*ck Yeah is hosted by seasoned sex educators, fed up feminists, and queer moms, Sarah Tomchesson and Robin Jennings. We are on a mission to disrupt traditional ideas about sexuality, patriarchal gender roles, intimate relationships, parenthood, and queer identity. Each week we explore topics with irreverence, nuance, compassion and curiosity. With the help of experts (and all-around interesting people), we unpack how to parent in a sex-positive way, what somatic self-care looks like, the ABCs of Kink, and how erotic embodiment is essentially queer. Join us every Thursday in our search for radical (self) acceptance as we explore taboos and the beautifully messy parts of this human experience.

F*ck Yeah to Art for Social Change with Cassils

F*ck Yeah to Art for Social Change with Cassils

We close out Season 3 with longtime friend of the pod and iconic artist, Cassils. We talk about the trajectory of Cassils's art career starting with early childhood paintings on genitals, to putting their body through peril as a means of waking up viewers to the struggles of the queer and trans experience. In Cassils's view, history does not repeat itself, but it rhymes. Their work is not only a vehicle for social change, it is steeped in the tactics of queer artist/activists of the 70s and 80s. Cassils uses their body heavily in their work, sometimes putting themself in precarious situations to convey the urgency and immediacy of the issues they are tackling. Cassils most recent piece draws inspiration from die-ins and the AIDS quilt. They will create a large scale cyanotype for Trans Day of Visibility at the end of the month at the Lincoln Memorial on the Mall in Washington D.C. Our conversation touches on a number of Cassils' pieces including Human Measure, Becoming an Image, In Plain Sight and and the throughline they weave through each. Their upcoming action with the NCET will take place on March 31st in D.C. To learn more about Cassils (or to take part in their TDOV action) visit their site -www.cassils.net - or follow them on IG @cassilsartist
CASSILS is a transgender artist who makes their own body the material and protagonist of their performances. Cassils's art contemplates the history(s) of LGBTQI+ violence, representation, struggle and survival. For Cassils, performance is a form of social sculpture: Drawing from the idea that bodies are formed in relation to forces of power and social expectations, Cassils work investigates historical contexts to examine the present moment.

    F*ck Yeah to Fantasies

    F*ck Yeah to Fantasies

Sarah and Robin are exploring fantasies in this penultimate episode of season 3. They break down what constitutes a fantasy with help from the classic guide The Erotic Mind by Jack Morin, deconstruct some of their own fantasies, answer the question "does Sarah even fantasize?" and talk through the process of reconstructing fantasies that feel outdated or misaligned with your current erotic self. Robin introduces Sarah to the meaning of Cathexis and how it's different from love and the poem Manic Pixie Dream Girl by Olivia Gatwood, and Sarah introduces Robin to a segment about delightfully gay dolphins. This episode features a vulva from @kokieca and the coining of the term "embodied fantasy"!

F*ck Yeah to Raising Kids Beyond the Binary with Jamie Bruesehoff

F*ck Yeah to Raising Kids Beyond the Binary with Jamie Bruesehoff

Today we're talking about building a network of loving support around non-binary and transgender youth with LGBTQ advocate and mother, Jamie Bruesehoff, author of Raising Kids Beyond the Binary: Celebrating God’s Transgender and Gender-Diverse Children.  Jamie shares her experience of raising her family in the Lutheran church in rural New Jersey and supporting her transgender daughter step into her full self. She describes the tension within Christianity - the repressive forces actively causing harm to gender expansive people and the loving kindness that her family has received from their congregation and Christians across the country. We talk about how being gender inclusive and breaking down gender stereotypes benefits all kids, how making space for LGBTQ+ youth to be their full selves creates space for us all to show up more fully, and how to advocate for your own gender diverse child. Jamie shares with Sarah and Robin about ring theory - a method for setting boundaries and protecting the safety and well-being of your child, regardless of what struggle they may be going through. Jamie demonstrates that you do not have to choose between your faith and your gender diverse child or loved one. Sarah closes the episode with a "Fucking Healing Shit" segment about the concept of "Unselfing" and ways to apply it when feeling helpless or hopeless.
Jamie Bruesehoff is an award-winning LGBTQ+ advocate, nationally known speaker, and mother of three, including a transgender child. Her family and work have been featured by media outlets and organizations around the world, including Disney, NPR, Good Morning America, USA Today, The Today Show, CBS News, Human Rights Campaign, The Trevor Project, and GLAAD. With a master's degree from The Lutheran Theological Seminary-Gettysburg and twenty years of experience working with youth and adults, she strives to create a world where LGBTQ+ young people thrive. She lives in New Jersey with her spouse and children. F*ck Yeah to Being Unapologetically Iconic with Jet Setting Jasmine

Jet Setting Jasmine is an icon and owns it. As a multihyphenate adult performer, director, mental health professional, and parent Jasmine brings her full personhood to each of her roles and identities. We talk about what it takes to openly and unapologetically embrace your unique greatness, how to parent with authenticity, and how to embody and model your ethics. Jasmine shares ways to initiate conversations with your kids about boundaries, consent, sexuality, and porn that aligns with your ethics and evolves over their lifespan. She gives examples of utilizing media as a connection point and teaching tool in those evolving conversations. We talk about the state of the porn industry, how difficult it can be to define (and find) ethical pornography, and the ways political discourse makes its way into the bedroom.
Jasmine's work centers decolonizing the professional spaces she occupies - porn and mental health - and she models boundary-setting, prioritizing safety, trusting your intuition, and living your values in everything she does. This conversation ranges from teaching your kids the Boundary Song to recognizing how corporate ethics rule your sex life. Tune in to learn why Jasmine is unapologetically iconic!
Jet Setting Jasmine is an award-winning adult film director, entertainer, and master fetish trainer. She is also a licensed psychotherapist and educator who uses her expertise in mental health to advocate for a more inclusive and ethically-sound adult entertainment industry. Jasmine is the co-owner, along with partner King Noire, of Royal Fetish Films, a multi-channel adult-entertainment business that resists the discriminatory tropes common in the art of entertainment and mainstream adult industry. Well-trained to recognize the challenges that face workers in the adult film industry, Jasmine advocates for those who may not be empowered to speak for themselves. She employs cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy, always with an aim of providing the most therapeutic client-care possible. Follow Jasmine on IG

F*ck Yeah to Embodied Self-Care with Anne Hodder-Shipp

F*ck Yeah to Embodied Self-Care with Anne Hodder-Shipp

Anne Hodder-Shipp of sex ed internet fame joins us again to demystify the misunderstood "P" word - pleasure. Anne and Sarah co-facilitate a course, Pleasure Attitudes, that focuses on re-establishing a joyful connection to pleasure in all of its forms. Robin interviews them and the three break down the difference between pleasure and sexual pleasure (and why they've come to be conflated), the blocks that many of us face when trying to source pleasure in our lives, and what to do about it. Anne and Sarah share how they help Pleasure Attitudes participants establish embodied self support practices and why it's so important to create routines that are personalized to your needs rather than fit the mold of what is packaged and sold to us as "self care." This episode contains a fair amount of pleasure and self care myth-busting as well as our signature permission-giving around getting to know your authentic needs and desires. Sarah closes out the episode with a "This is going to make you fucking mad" segment about the recent Alabama Supreme Court decision granting "personhood" to embryos.
Content warning: Sarah and Robin start the episode talking about the recent death of nonbinary teen, Nex Benedict. If this topic is as heavy to you as it is to us and you need to skip this part of the discussion, skip to 8 min into the episode. If you want to support Nex's family go to www.gofundme.com/f/dagny-benedict
