Customer Reviews
Fine throughout but disappointed with Finale
Overall I have enjoyed this podcast. Love the theme tune, and getting to relive such a great show. I agree with some other reviews that there is a lot of unnecessary swearing, and I found Donald a bit OTT at times, but generally I have enjoyed it. Started listening during covid and have dipped in and out over the years.
However I was hugely disappointed by the finale. Such a poignant and beautiful episode, but they never actually did a recap as kept getting distracted. Also was sad not to have Carla/Judy Reyes there for the final episode, as she was one of the core group. Carla was such a strong, inspiring character, and hers and Turk’s relationship was almost as important as JD and Elliot’s, so to have her completely omitted made me sad and it felt like there was a weird gap as she just wasn’t mentioned.
Great show, way to many repetitive advertisements
I’ve been listening to this show since it first aired way back at the start of lockdown and it’s been an absolute joy, particularly in those dark pandemic days.
However over time and as the show became more and more popular, the number of adverts has crept up, at present (season 9 re watch) there are ad breaks, roughly every 15 minutes each break has 4-5 different commercials, there are also the same number of advertisements before the show starts and when it ends, and what’s more frustrating is the fact that every ad break has the same 4-5 commercials which gets very annoying and dull.
I’m sticking out until they finish the scrubs re watch but after that I am probably calling it a day.
How did I not hear this sooner?
Genuinely gutted I didn’t hear this when it came out. The podcast is amazing, these four have such great chemistry and they have a good mix of talking about the show and just riffing with each other despite what some dumb people think. It’s good to know that the relationship between Zach and Donald is the same as Turk and JD, something that just makes Scrubs even more magical and amazing to watch, and hearing these two talk about their funny anecdotes and exploits of what happened on set, behind the scenes and just in their personal lives in general is something I look forward to listening to every episode. I hope you guys keep doing podcasts even when you’ve gotten to the end of the show because I’m only half way through season two so I’ve got a lot to get through, but I’ll be absolutely gutted when I reach the end.
