    32. Scream 4 (2011)

    32. Scream 4 (2011)

Are you ready? We're back with a whimper but back to doing 15 minutes of Flog properly.

With 5cream oh sorry, Scream (catchy) just around the corner, we decided to dust off the old cobwebs, and like most horror fans across the globe this week, delve back into Woodsboro head (penis) first.

Stay till the end (or skip till the end) to hear a sneak peek of all the wacky new segments we have coming up on the show in 2022.

    You'll think we're bloody bonkers.

    Or just incredibly unfunny.

    Please love us.

Topics discussed during the episode that will make you scream include:

We get off to a solid start with actors' names.

Fiona has a little bit of trivia for everything.

Neve Campbell reminds Ben about Kevin Bacon's bits.

    Who's Rory Culkin related to?

Have we run FilmFloggers into the ground?

Fiona has another piece of interesting trivia.

Fiona tries to get a rise out of Ben by mentioning CGI Knives.

See you at the Crossroads Crossroads - Remember Blazin' Squad?

Would Mr Ninja Trevor as Ghostface have been a big turd to the audience's face?

Timothy Olyphant reminds me to rewatch The Girl Next Door.

Courtney Cox is filler shamed. Shame on you, Fiona.

Does our flat have enough floor space to enable us to be considered for future Ghostfaces?

Topics discussed during the trailer include:

Why people probably shouldn't be listening to FilmFloggers.

    We get serious.

Is Fiona's bullsh*t trivia well researched?

    Is Fiona great craic?

    Why FilmFloggers? Well, why not?

We have over 70 years of film watching experience...70!

Does my co-host Thomas get it in, get it on and do girls enjoy his flog?

    Ben doesn't like to share.

    80. Klaus (2019)

    80. Klaus (2019)

    Thank fu*k that's over.

The first FilmFoggers episode where Ben hasn't ticked the explicit box. This means our ramblings on Klaus can be delivered to children worldwide.

We did have one or two minor slip-ups but nothing 19 (yes 19) beeps couldn't fix. All for your listening pleasure.

Have a great Christmas, Boys and Girls.

    Father Flogmas.

Festive topics discussed during the episode include:

A first for Floggers, a swear-free episode. For the children.

Ben throws the Rodecaster under the bus.

Is Ben's new microphone gain hungry? What does that mean? Do you care?

Fiona asks me to leave her Gain alone.

    No swearing's going well.

Good to hear that Fiona would retweet us.

We countdown our 12 days. It could have gone better.

Who do we blame for the failure of the 12 days of Flogmas? Sophie from SP filmviewers by the sounds of it.

Thank you, Sergio Pablos, for creating minions.

Ben gets caught out when Fiona checks in to see if he's still listening.

    Fiona's Norwegian needs work.

Are FilmFloggers selfish? Have you not seen all the content we've provided you these last three months? YOU'RE SELFISH!

Shout out to South East Dog Rescue, to who Fiona has donated my entire Christmas present fund.

Ben's a big fan of the new Lion King. He's part of the Beyhive.

    No swearing's going well.

Jesper or Jasper, Ben can't nail that name down.

So Klaus's origins consist of getting a postman to go on a breaking and entering crime spree?

It takes till the 31-minute mark before the not swearing penny drops.

Fiona thinks she may have accidentally sworn once. ONCE.

What do Fiona and Klaus have in common?

Fiona won't do any episodes until all of Ben's chores are finished. That hoover has been on every day for three months.

So it turns out Dan Machholz isn't the only friend Ben has over the age of 80.

How many bad Christmas films get away with it purely because they have a Christmas backdrop?

Not even Arnie can save Jingle All The Way.

Fiona's vulgar comments almost derail this kid-friendly episode.

I'm currently writing these episode notes on Christmas Eve when I should be with my family. You are my family.

Does Ben have an incurable disease?

You can find us on Goodreads.

Ben finally remembers to mention that Sopranos show he does.

    79. Tokyo Godfathers (2003)

    79. Tokyo Godfathers (2003)

As we are still digesting the wildly successful Flogoween season, we thought it best that the team (Ben) put their (his) feet up and take the rest of the year off.

This would allow us (Ben) to immerse ourselves (himself) in the festive season fully, spend more time listening to the many other great indie podcasts (FilmFloggers) and bask in the glory of releasing 31 Horror films during the 31 days of October.

And, to be perfectly honest, let some of the other indie podcasts do some work for once.

    Great work, I might add.

So there's only one thing left to say, Happy...12 days of Flogmas.

And my mum always said she spoiled me at Christmas. (Still does, apparently)

    Happy Flogmas one & all!

Who's excited for the 14 days of Floggingtine?

    Witty Easter name pending.

Festive topics discussed during the episode include:

More coughing to open up the episode.

What do you want from me, Rode? More money spent on your products? No problem.

Pet Hates, Pet Peeves, don't you hate wafflers? Get to the film!

Ben doesn't have time to wash anymore.

We are severely lacking experience with Satoshi Kon's work.

Listening to Fiona struggle her way through name pronunciations makes Ben feel guilty. Can you repeat that, Fiona?

I interrupt Fiona once, and all hell breaks loose. What did I do?

Is Ben funny? All he was trying to do was save Fiona from herself.

Is Tokyo a hustling and bustling city? We were due to find out in April 2020...I didn't fancy it in the end.

I am reluctant to 'go off' on another major city. Jingle Bells, London smells, LA laid a rotten egg.

Ben can't put sentences together anymore. Haters would say he never could.

Fiona didn't see the religious 'undertones' in this. Christ.

Fiona threatens to walk off. I implore her to think about the fans...'Fan'.

Is attending Sunday Mass the critical ingredient missing from Bens's life?

Ben appreciates getting a word in.

Is Dan Machholz the ghost of Christmas yet to come?

When have I ever belittled my co-host? Unbelievable slander.

Is the last 15 minutes wholly unrealistic compared to the rest of the film?

Future Ben, past Ben, present Ben is on the verge of disaster.

That tickle in Fiona's throat continues.

Can you differentiate the difference between Animated and Anime? We certainly can.

Fiona gushes about her love for Studio Ghibli.

When are we doing that Chinese-made film, Parasite?

    78. Just Friends (2005)

So there's only one thing left to say, Happy...12 days of Flogmas.

Ben's Mother returns...Just in time for Christmas.

Festive topics discussed during the episode include:

Ben wears his cu*t heart on his sleeve.

Anyone buying the whole 'Ben scarifies himself for the fans' spiel?

Should I talk in the 1st or 3rd person? Whatever makes me sound more important, I guess.

It might be worth skipping the first 7-8 minutes of this episode. Or altogether. I wish I had.

Who's bright idea was it for me to be part of this episode in a producer role? Dan Machholz, dick.

    We reminisce about GameFloggers.

No stalkers for my anonymous Mother, please. No photos. Ryan Reynolds, stalk away.

My Mother has the privilege of witnessing Fiona butcher names in the flesh.

What was the name of the 31 films thing we did again?

I LOVE RED NOTICE. I HAVEN'T STOP LAUGHING SINCE.

Anna Faris has had her fair share of duds.

Apparently, Eliza Cuthbert is really, really annoying in 24. I bet Kiefer Sutherland hated every second of it.

My Mothers big bottom causes some problems.

Is having the Aural exciter toggled on enough to get Ben excited?

Who hopes Ben and this podcast make it to 2022?

Is grinding your teeth against your mic the answer to better sound quality?

Ben takes great pride in labelling himself a ferocious womaniser in front of his Mother and ex Girlfriend.

Joyce! "What ham did you slap, honey? Not the one I just bought."

I beg Fiona to stop singing.

Ben just loves bumping into the so-called popular blobs; sorry, kids from school.

Would anyone want to watch The Hot Chick?

It's not wrong for my Mother to like bad films; it's just not right either.

My Mother drags up the painful memories of Christmas 2018 for all the world to hear.

Ben goes crazy talking about the CGI present in Red Notice. That's what the world needs right now, The Rock and Ryan Reynolds joining forces. Gin and Tequilla for everyone. Covid's vanquished!

Ben just loves a practical hairnet.

Is there a reason why Fiona and I aren't as popular as Ryan and Blake Lively? Is it the Trivia?

We all can't hear that background noise. Ben doesn't rise to it.

Ben enjoys hearing about my Mothers and ex GF's dinner plans with the two Ryan's and Bradley Cooper

Are you rooting for Jack Black and Kate Winslet?

Why is Fiona obsessed with singing terribly over already terrible songs?

    77. Love Actually (2003)

    Happy Flogmas one & all!

Who's excited for the 14 days of Floggingtine?

    Witty Easter name pending.

Festive topics discussed during the episode include:

Are you looking for a new microphone? Ben elegantly reviews some.

Does hearing Ben constantly whinge about his tech woes bore you? Would new listeners instantly switch off? I thought not.

    Is Ben still disgusting?

    Are we cute?

Ben loses his cool. Just for a second.

I'm starting to think Fiona doesn't put much effort into her episode prep.

Cliff Richard pops back numerous times to mask Fiona's asthma sufferings.

Ben has only nice things to say about Denise Richards.

    Fiona's intro tires Ben.

It's been four years since my and Fiona's first conversation, and I still don't understand a word she says.

The love story between Colin Firth and Sienna Guillory reminds me so much of the one between Fiona & me. Just without the love bit.

Is Ameros Perros anything like City of God? It's a foreign film, so that's enough for Fiona.

It's all there, Ridley Scott, House of Gucci, Jared Leto, Crash 2005. Movie stuff.

Can anyone give Ben his Heathrow moment?

Ben has only nice things to say about Kiera Knightley.

Much like Dildo (I typed out Dildo first), Dido, will I be going down with this podcast ship? (We've been taking on water since September)

Have I been hanging with Dan Machholz's too long?

Has Ben lost his mojo? Yeah, baby, yeah!

Boris Johnson needs to let his hair down more.

Imagine facing a double denim sporting bloke with his arms folded after a full day of lectures?

I knew there was a link between Helen Bonham Carter and Emma Thompson.

Is Die Hard a Christmas film? Why has nobody posed this question before?

What would Fiona find if she rooted around in my pocket? A sh*t-stained necklace inscribed, I heart D.M? I highly doubt it...

Lobsters and Octopus standing next to our Lord and Saviour. How woke of you, Richard Curtis.

Considering this came post 9/11, how realistic is Sam's airport dash for love? That thumbs-up isn't flying here, Liam Neeson.

Scottish Murders ,

Hilarious

Ben, Tom and Fiona are so funny and entertaining, and do a fantastic job at reviewing, or flogging, a vast range of films in their own unique way. The good-natured banter and the research done makes every episode a joy to listen to. Would highly recommend this podcast.

ArbroathMackem ,

Witty and entertaining

The team here kept my attention throughout and that’s difficult for an older guy like me ! Good range of films covered and a nice relaxed style between the team. I enjoyed the analysis and trivia. Episodes are a good length too. I look forward to see what’s going to be covered in the future and am exploring the back catalogue. Recommended

Blitz 2811 ,

We consider you rivals. Much Love from The Northern Dreamers

So I started listening to this podcast when I saw them on Twitter, been following for a while now and we actually love the show.
Great perspective on the films they look at, being a film maker I like to see other insights and this podcast has it all. The hosts are great and relatable. would love to work with them in the future.
