First Annual Women & STEAM Congress, Part 2 STEAM-Cast

On Thursday, March 28, 2019, the Project Fibonacci® Foundation hosted the first annual Women & STEAM Congress, a professional development and networking event for young women and girls in high school and college, in coordination with Utica College and Women TIES, and sponsored by ANDRO Computational Solutions, Community Bank, Adirondack Bank, R-Tronics, and media sponsor WKTV NewsChannel 2.



The centerpiece of the event was a panel on women in entrepreneurship, moderated by WKTV's meteorologist Jill Reale (@TheRealeDeal), and featured Master Sgt. Della Pray (ret.) of the US Air Force; Cathy Dare, geoenvironmental engineer & chief executive manager of TRM environmental; the Honorable Bernadette Romano Clark, NYS Supreme Court Justice; Christi Harrington, professor of art at Mohawk Valley Community College; Jenna Stanton, 21-year-old owner of Soul Bowl; Dr. Maria Kontaridis, director of research at Masonic Medical Research Institute; Linda Fake, owner of Uniquely Yours Interior Design; Dr. Stephanie Nesbitt, faculty administrator at Utica College; and Sonja Glumich, security systems engineer for the Air Force Research Lab.



STEAM-Cast is a production of the Project Fibonacci® Foundation, a 501-c-3 nonprofit educational organization whose mission is to introduce our youth to a culture of interdisciplinary STEAM learning, teaching them to become creative, independent leaders of community resurgence.
