Affirmations & The Law of Attraction

Let's talk about affirmations. We do them ALL 👏🏼THE 👏🏼TIME 👏🏼on this podcast, so what are affirmations and how do we use them? Positive thinking and "toxic positivity" plague the territories of social media everywhere, from infographics and unassuming self-care animations, but it's easy to conflate delusion and simply ignoring your problems with positive and affirmative action. We'll clear some of that up and we'll also discuss how Queer people can use affirmations to heal their bodies and minds. This week's poem is called "Yes" by Jess Darnell. --- When we come out, it doesn’t always turn out to be a gay, rainbow-filled love-fest like we imagine. See You in Church (Higher Power, Religion, and God)

Happy Easter! We recorded this episode a while ago, but boy, oh, boy, does it seem timely, especially with all of the digital warfare over a certain Queer artist's music video going on...what's the big idea about Heaven and Hell anyway? Do you believe in God? Do you want to believe in God? Are you sick to death of Church talks and faking prayers at the dinner table? Fortunately, our relationship with the Creator of the Universe is our personal relationship - and it can be whatever we wish it to be. This week, while we meditate on regeneration, rebirth, and chocolate eggs, think about what you believe. This Easter, the question is not what do you believe, but rather what do you want to believe?  --- When we come out, it doesn’t always turn out to be a gay, rainbow-filled love-fest like we imagine.
