And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.  Luke 5:26 NKJV Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.” John 14:15 NIV “If you love me, keep my commands.”   Key #3 - Fans Watch, Followers Work Matthew 9:35-38 NLT Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. Begin With The End In Mind - Part 2

“Blessed” is “Makarios” To be Supremely Blessed - fortunate - well off & happy   Matthew 5:1-2 When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a hill and sat down. His followers came to him, and he began to teach them, saying:   “Saying” is “Lego” to properly relate words in a systematic way thru a preplanned discourse…   Blessed are those who hunger & thirst for…   Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see…   Blessed are the peacemakers they’ll be called the…”   Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit…    Job 8:7 CEB Although your former state was ordinary, your future will be extraordinary.   Judges 6:11-12 NIV The angel of the Lord came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites. When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”   Judges 6:13 NIV “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.”   Judges 6:14 NIV The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”   Matthew 7:24-25 NIV “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.    Matthew 7:26-27 NIV  But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

Begin With The End In Mind

Philippians 1:6 NIV being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Daniel 2:47-49 NLT The king said to Daniel, “Truly, your God is the greatest of gods, the Lord over kings, a revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this secret.” 48 Then the king appointed Daniel to a high position and gave him many valuable gifts. He made Daniel ruler over the whole province of Babylon, as well as chief over all his wise men. 49 At Daniel’s request, the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be in charge of all the affairs of the province of Babylon, while Daniel remained in the king’s court.   Key #1 - Stand Firm in Your Faith 1 Corinthians 16:13 NLT Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. Ephesians 6:13 NLT Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to STAND your ground, and after you have done everything, to STAND. 14 STAND firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place. Daniel 3:15 NLT I will give you one more chance to bow down and worship the statue I have made when you hear the sound of the musical instruments. But if you refuse, you will be thrown immediately into the blazing furnace. And then what god will be able to rescue you from my power?”   Key #2 - Obedience over Outcomes Daniel 3:17-18 NLT If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18 But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”   Key #3 - God’s Present in the Fire Daniel 3:25 NLT “Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!”   Key #4 - It’s My story, for His Glory Daniel 3:29 NLT There is no other god who can rescue like this!” Daniel 3:30 NLT Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to even higher positions in the province of Babylon.

    How To Handle Regret

Leviticus 16:3-10 6 "Aaron is to offer the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household. 7 Then he is to take the two goats and present them before the Lord at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 8 He is to cast lots for the two goats--one lot for the Lord and the other for the scapegoat.     CONTEXT Two Goats— *The goat for the Lord *The goat for the scapegoat *Azazel—Take him away; A weapon in the hand of the enemy   9 Aaron shall bring the goat whose lot falls to the Lord and sacrifice it for a sin offering. 10 But the goat chosen by lot as the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord to be used for making atonement by sending it into the desert as a scapegoat.   The Goat for the Lord *Malah—Laying on of hands *The Press—Gethsemene *It is finished *Don’t touch me *Washing the hands   Leviticus 16:20-22 20 "When Aaron has finished making atonement for the Most Holy Place, the Tent of Meeting and the altar, he shall bring forward the live goat. 21 He is to lay both hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the wickedness and rebellion of the Israelites--all their sins--and put them on the goat's head. He shall send the goat away into the desert in the care of a man appointed for the task. 22 The goat will carry on itself all their sins to a solitary place; and the man shall release it in the desert.   Leviticus 16:26 The man who releases the goat as a scapegoat must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water; afterward he may come into the camp.   The Goat for Azazel *Malah—Laying on of hands *Attaching sins to the head *The walk through the crowd *Releasing into the desert *The cord turns white   He then fastened a scarlet woolen thread to the head of the goat "for Azazel"; and laying his hands upon it again, recited the following confession of sin and prayer for forgiveness: "O Lord, I have acted iniquitously, trespassed, sinned before You: I, my household, and the sons of Aaron Your holy ones. O Lord, forgive the iniquities, transgressions, and sins that I, my household, and Aaron's children, Your holy people, committed before You…   ….as is written in the law of Moses, Your servant, 'for on this day He will forgive you, to cleanse you from all your sins before the Lord; you will be clean.'"   John 19:14-15 14 It was the day of Preparation of Passover Week, about the sixth hour. "Here is your king," Pilate said to the Jews. 15 But they shouted, "Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!"   Matthew 27:24 24 When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. "I am innocent of this man's blood," he said. "It is your responsibility!"   Hebrews 10:11-12 11 Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.    1 John 2:1-2 (NIV) 1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.   APPLICATION POINTS 1)The hands have been washed 2)The cord has turned white 3)The priest has sat down 4)The goat has left the building
