    Ep 153 Rewrite Your Script

A lot of things happen in our lives that drive our emotions and thoughts. Our actions are induced by this, whether we run away from it or lean into faith and trust. The ability to look at things objectively, pondering why things happen to us and not to others.
It is true that one thing can mean different things to different people, but when you truly know what you need, you make decisions from a place of empowerment.
We act based on our emotions, and if they are not mastered, things can get out of control. To walk the path to freedom and peace, we need the help and support of mentors and coaches. Not to mention the tools needed for self-mastery.
Gavin McHale is a personality development coach who helps high performers live a more conscious and impactful life.
In this episode, Gavin shares his experience numbing everything away with alcohol. Instead of facing the problem head-on, he went farther away from it, looking for short-term solutions that dragged him more into the pit of desperation.
The same thing happened when he had to face challenges in his business. When he realized he wouldn't settle for less than what he set out to achieve, he acknowledged the problem, looked for the solution, and reached out to people he knew to have his best interest at hand. And that made him expand his life from a place of love and commitment.
"This is what matters in life; living a better life is becoming aware of your patterns, becoming more conscious, and then truly making an intentional decision to change them." - Gavin Mchale

Ep 152 How To Not Go Back On Your Diet

Ep 152 How To Not Go Back On Your Diet

One's food obsession and struggles associated with weight and body issues go back to a life lived in fear, trauma, abuse, negativity, hatred, and criticism.
When you've been on a diet mentality for so long, you get so accustomed and familiar with it for the longest time that the idea of getting out of it seems scary because you don't know what awaits you outside of it. You seem to thrive in the bubble that you've created yourself.
That seems so because you cover it up with something not long-lasting, but the more you mask it up, the more the inner wound festers, and the stronger your food obsession becomes to numb it even more.
Those mental chatters never go away without shedding light on that deeper reason and ultimately coming to terms with it. Hypnosis for permanent weight loss gets you the support you need. With the tools it provides to turn around any negativity and hatred you've been trapped into, the only way to get back to not obsessing over food again is to go back to love -- self-love and self-compassion for yourself.
"Anytime that something that's not that [ faith, love, compassion, and presence ] enters your body or your mind, then we choose to use the tools that you get in the hypnosis for permanent weight loss program to change them around. To change a fearful thought into a positive one, to change an anxious part into something that you can choose not to have to be there. Getting yourself out of the way is the only thing that's necessary." - Leslie Thornton

Ep 151 Love what you eat

Ep 151 Love what you eat

Frustrated at not being consistent with your diet plan? Are you still in that hamster wheel cycle of losing now and gaining weight later? Does it seem like an endless struggle for you?
That's probably because the more you're attached to something, the more you get disappointed every time you fail.
In this episode, Tina, an HPWL graduate, shares her experience of being so obsessed with her body weight issues that things magnify her struggles. She ends up frustrated, even with how hard she tried losing weight. But when she found out about Hypnosis, that's when things started transforming. For her, this is what freedom looks like -- choosing what is good for you because that is how your body feels about it. It's not about how bad or good the food is. It's making a decision based on what you want and what your body feels it wants and needs. It's about confidence in knowing you are better, even with or without it.
"Just stop the craziness. It's so freeing and accessible to people that if you want to make the change, you can, and you just have to believe in the process, believe in the program, and find the means to do it. And, get out of that hamster wheel cycle, that diet mentality." - Tina VanDerwerker

What you will learn from this episode:
03:13 - Looking at her past weight issues and what led her to consider Hypnosis
06:01 - Sharing the experiences of how it was like going through a difficult cycle of weight gain and weight loss
09:01 - One particular session in the program that stood out for her
10:49 - It wasn't about the food; it was all about friendship and listening to your body

17:31 - What it looks like to have the freedom to choose to eat or not to eat anything you want
22:04 - Choosing things that are better for you because of how it makes you feel and not out of fear of anything
25:50 - How it's freeing to be the person who enjoys life and not be so attached to that 'diet' thing

Ep 150 The History of Hypnosis

Ep 150 The History of Hypnosis

History has proven that Hypnosis existed long before we know it today. Records show that many people and scientists even demonstrated the power of the mind in alleviating pain and stopping blood flow in ancient times. And how successfully they made things happen by letting the mind and intention work.
If it works in the past, all the more reason it is working now. With all the studies and research that have been done, claims have been strengthened and proven. The problem we are facing with body weight issues, Hypnosis can help. It's all about healing the inner work, reframing the subconscious mind to align with our inner truth, and not constantly hiding in fear, resorting to a diet mentality that perpetuates the cycle of frustration and anxiety.
This is exactly what this episode is about, talking about the history and evolution of Hypnosis, how it is in the past as it relates to today, and every positive thing it can do for you and your life.
"The way that the mind works is scientific. But when I was questioning faith and religion at the time, this is the science behind how God works. Like what Jesus, from a historical standpoint, was trying to share with everyone around the fact that we are all God; we are all creators of our own reality. He was always saying I'm not special; you can do the same. And this Hypnosis and the neuro-linguistic program teach you how to do that." - Leslie Thornton

Ep 149 Cold Water Immersion: Mind Over Matter

Diet mentality gets us in a state of being a control freak. What happens is that the very same things that we restrict ourselves from doing and eating, when we fall off track that's the very first thing we grab and hold on to.
Most often than not, we fail and keep repeating the cycle because there's this fear in us that we've never learned to let go of. If only, we learn to dig deep and heal it at the source, that's when we find the freedom and happiness that we'll see us through down the road.
Joshua Church is a co-founder @edgetheorylabs (www.edgetheorylabs.com) bringing cold water therapy to the world. He is the Director of Operations @ High Impact Coaching and helped the founder scale to multiple 7-figures and a team of 17+ in less than four years. He is on a journey to become a healthier, happier, and more successful human being. Joshua also hosts Find The Others podcast, helping ambitious people play at a higher level.
In this episode, Joshua Church shares how we can learn to connect our mind and body to overcome the fears and stress that are causing us many battles. Even how much you try to find a solution for it, it just doesn't seem to go away; instead, it keeps repeating itself and showing up in other forms of struggle. He shares this modality called cold water immersion, a quick state shifter bringing massive transformational benefits to your wellbeing as it brings you up to another level in your mental, physiological, energy, and spiritual spheres. This is the kind that makes you trust yourself and your body, that you have a bigger capacity to do things more than you can ever imagine you can.
"The biggest lesson that the cold has taught me is that there's strength in surrender. And it's taught me how to surrender." - Joshua Church

What you will learn from this episode:

I listen to all sorts of podcasts but this one was the one that hit me between the eyes and made me truly believe I could change. I signed up, I showed up and the results have been incredible. I’m truly happy, I don’t spend all day thinking about food, if I get upset or down I don’t reach for food. I really am a new person, the person I wanted to be. Thank you doesn’t seem enough.
