I have been a listener for a long time, at least five years, and Jim Harolds Campfire is a weekly staple for me. My brother and I listen regularly, Jims calm and professional voice reminds me of Alan Robson, of Alan Robsons Nightowls, a similar radio show I grew up listening to here in the UK, and no story is ever the same. Jim I tip my hat to you sir, and should you read this, I hope you know you and your work are greatly appreciated.

Jim is so listenable and professional. He has lots of shows with a variety of content and this is just one of them. He must be the hardest working guy in podcasting. Love this show with people speaking their own accounts of the strange and creepy, sometimes uplifting. A relatively new listener of just a few months but I am hooked. The “plus club” beckons as I am enjoying all the shows.

My favourite podcast of all time

My world would fall apart if I learned that Jim isn't a nice guy in real life. He's such a gentle and nurturing presenter that you soon feel like you know him. There's something reassuring about the existence of this podcast. Jim is like your favourite uncle, with a penchant for a dark tale. But don't be fooled by Jim's impeccable bedside manner, many of these stories are satisfyingly creepy and dark. There are also sweet tales and even funny ones (or at least one - listen out for the subtle "Pest control" punchline). There's some genuinely scary stuff in here! It's worth subscribing for Camp Fire alone. I went back to episode 1. Keep up the great work, Jim! We love you.

I paid to subscribe, as couldn’t access the majority of episodes to download. Very disappointed that despite this every episode is plagued by ‘infomercial’ type ads. They’re also unjustifiably long.

I feel stupid listening now. No longer intriguing stories of weirdness. Now just silliness, fiction and lies and deeply uncomfortable moments of people dealing with either grief or quite obvious mental problems.

I’m a patreon of a couple of podcasts but Jim is the best. He does so many shows and I love them all. You certainly get loads of fab content for your subscription fee. I love the campfire the most.
