Rick Robertson: Always a Father
Rick Robertson: Always a father
Rick begins a series on God the Father by looking at how God has always been, and always will be, a father to each of us.
Looking at John 1:1-14 and 1:18, he asks us to consider the following points:
God has always been a father
Jesus reveals the father
Jesus is the only way to the father
Rick also reminds us that Jesus is critical to anyone finding God. Without Jesus, God cannot be found.

CAP Sunday
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) has been providing free professional debt help through local churches across the UK since 1996.
In 2023, Jubilee opened a new CAP debt centre in our home at The Jubilee Centre in Wallasey.
CAP works with people who are struggling with their finances. No matter how large or small the problem, it can help.
CAP provides free, expert debt help to advise on the best route out of debt, and offers different types of support to help you become debt free.
CAP Sunday is all about giving more details about what CAP and CAP Wallasey does and sharing stories about how it helps real people.

Sylvia Billington: The fruits of the spirit
Sylvia on the fruits of the Spirit, how we have been chosen by God and how we have to keep bearing fruit, whatever gifts he has given us.
Sylvia goes into how the Kingdom of God is not about what we want, but about doing what God wants us to do. If God wants us to do things differently, we should do things differently.
Just because we want to do something, that doesn’t mean we should do it. We need to ask God first.

Jonathan Kent: The Tree of Life
Guest speaker Jonathan Kent looks at Proverbs 13:12 and Luke 24: 13-35.
Jonathan looks at the full verse of an often half-quoted verse, Proverbs 13:12: ‘Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.’
He looks at what it’s like when hope’s gone and asks us to consider what the tree of life is to us.
