Kicking Back with The Cardiffians
Kicking Back With The Cardiffians is an authentic and heart-warming series hosted by Welsh singing legend Charlotte Church. Charlotte explores her own working-class childhood rooted in Cardiff by passing the mic around her family tree and inviting some of her chosen fam over for a catch up. Together, they discuss life lessons learned and moments that are still being processed. Topics span from the secrets to sustaining a long, loving marriage, to how to rebuild yourself in the face of adversity. Expect mindful moments, laughter, and a few tales of teens sneaking into clubs, as Charlotte captures the root and branch stories of her family. Come and cwtch with Charlotte as we learn to embrace the sanctuary that family can offer and to celebrate our roots so that we, too, can Kick Back with The Cardiffians.
Beautiful podcast

Such a beautiful and authentic podcast. The stories really bring the people and the city to life. I can relate so much. Being brought up in Llanelli and having dated a Cardiff girl during uni there are so many things I recognise. That Cardiff humour is so unique though - very different to the banter of west wales. I remember trying my best to fit in with my Cardiff girlfriends family and to make them laugh, but never could.

Self Indulgent
10 Aug
Self indulgent and embarrassing. I love The Church and I miss the Late Night Pop Dungeon dreadfully. However, she has proven herself not to an insightful interviewer in the past. The BBC’s shameful obsession with celeb led pods is just an embarrassment and this sounds like a student genealogy project. Commission some people who have an authentic take on working class life and the journalistic and audio skills to make an interesting programme.

Charlotte made a lot of money as a kid then her career since is non existent. Leading choirs chanting Rivers to the Sea shows why so called celebrities are irrelevant.
