Before individual members could join the party membership was through unions and socialist societies. SERA is one such society that is officially affiliated with the Labour Party. 

Labour’s Environment Campaign: SERA has been at the heart of Labour’s green policy formation for the last 50 years and continues to be a very influential body within the party.  

Ken Penton is the organisations co-chair and so came onto the show to share the work SERA does to fight for our environment.
