HC058 - Straightforward, unshowy, quietly knowing - with Ben Masters

A really interesting and educational episode of the human conversation with the lovely Ben Masters. He really is as he describes the best copywriters on his website - straightforward, unshowy, quietly knowing.

We talked all things education and copy. Follow Ben's journey from...

Starting out in one of the big accountancy firms
    Having an inspirational father
    Keeping teaching in the family
Writing copy that he really loves

We discussed the school curriculum, and how creativity is not always high on the agenda because of other pressures.

Great stories from Ben's 20 year teaching career and bringing us to today where Ben now masters copy! Watch to the end and you'll understand what that means :)

It was a real pleasure to talk to such a straightforward, unshowy and quietly knowing man, and I really enjoyed our human conversation - thank you Ben.

HC056 - Making automation human - with Darryl Praill

Another fabulous human conversation and today my guest was the brilliant Darryl Praill all the way from Canada.

This is a slightly longer episode, but we had so much to talk about - and we decided that there will be a part 2 - back over on Darryl's podcast called INSIDE Inside Sales Podcast.

So here is a flavour of our part 1 discussion. We talked about...

    The Sales Transatlantic Throwdown
    The beard 😍
    Grey hair- Yes or No
    Home hairdressing
The fact that Darryl is a year older than me - very important!

And then we got on to talking about the business stuff...

    🌟Where Darryl started his career
🌟 Sales & Marketing - different or the same?
🌟 Vanillasoft - what do they do?
    🌟 Scripts...interesting that bit!
🌟THREE career-changing tactics that you can employ immediately in your sales efforts and see a dramatic difference in your results and outcomes

And Darryl's parting words of wisdom are superb - but you have to listen to the end.

So even if you take Part 1 and listen in 2 sessions, please do listen to every bit of this brilliant Human Conversation!

HC054 - The therapy of writing - with Shelley Wilson

A really natural and wonderful human conversation with the inspiring Shelley Wilson. What a journey she has had. We talk about...

🌟 Retraining from hospitality to beauty therapy

🌟 And she has written many fantastic books

Such a brilliant conversation topped off with chat about travel and men!

HC053 - The Dragon Slayers meet - with Emmie Faust

An epic episode where two real dragon slayers meet!

We exchange our stories and tales from the Dragons' Den and look at the journey's we have both had and what we learnt.

    Find out...

How we both applied to go in the den and what happened when we did
What happens on the day of filming
What you see and what really happens
What happens after you've done the deal in the den
What happened to our Dragons' Den businesses
    What we learnt
    What we did next!

It was such a great conversation to share our experiences and thoughts about going on one of the UK's biggest business programmes. It is still running today and is now on series 18.

Both Emmie and I pitched to Dragons who are still on the programme, and my initial investor is still the longest serving dragon - Peter Jones.

The Human Conversation

Jules White and Eleanor Goold. What can I say? This was a fascinating listen. You two are always adding superb value and you address some important issues. A great podcast debunking freelancing myths and freelancing life.

Your bubbly and chatty tone made this podcast an easy and fun listen. Whilst also offering plenty of tips and thought provoking comments.😁
