No one likes a negative Nelly
Manchester is Red - a podcast about Manchester United - takes the novel approach of showcasing a main contributor, in Samuel Luckhurst, who utterly despises Manchester United and everyone associated with it. On a weekly basis, entirely innocuous developments at the club are the subject of long and boring examinations by Luckhurst, who inevitably concludes that these things are yet more evidence of Manchester United’s ongoing hopelessness. A recent highlight has been the retention of Eric Ten Hag as manager, and the fact that a period of 17 days elapsed while the club considered that decision. Not long, you might think, to determine who occupies such a key position yet, in Samuel’s eyes at least, this was ‘a farce’ that showed the club was ‘amateurish’ and he’s barely shut up about it since. I can only imagine that Samuel spent those 17 days confidently telling his colleagues and bosses that Eric Ten Hag would, in fact, be sacked and the failure of that to happen was a deep embarrassment to him. As such, he is now invested in Manchester United failing. At least that’s what his churlishness suggests.
Too negative
Think luckhurst is becoming well known on social media for his extremely negative stance on United. The club is moving forward and making progress, not sure he can see that. I’ve had to unfollow
