Ep. 65 - Breaking In To The Wide World of Law: with Ben Triggs of Bright Network

The world of law is expansive. From criminal to corporate, areas of practice heavily influence and differentiate the types of work that lawyers do and as such the skillsets they need to succeed.

As a result, graduate recruitment processes for a career in law can vary greatly, even within their own subset of the legal profession. Despite this, there are a number of common (and critical!) skills, tips and pointers to bear in mind throughout it all. In this episode, Ben Triggs, from graduate careers site and event provider Bright Network, shares his key tips for getting for your first feet forward in law.

Absolute best podcast for law students

I’ve spent the past century looking for a podcast that contains insight to the current law, commercial awareness, tips and tricks for Vac Schemes/TC’s
Every other podcast on the market is incredibly boring and makes me want to change career paths altogether lol
Harry’s episodes are super insightful, always interesting, articulate, engaging and really get you to think about the bigger picture in the legal landscape
This pod reminded me of the reasons why I chose to go into law in the first place, and is an absolute must for any law student or trainee

Insightful & engaging!

Really enjoyed the episode about Derivatives with Leo Hutchings? So informative & interesting. Hope to get more content in that format; though it was general it was still insightful & succinct enough to give the listener a good overview about the area of law, current issues, the challenges as a junior, the day to day experience, the expectations etc.

Very Insightful and Engaging

What I love most about the More From Law podcast is the wide range of insights provided into the legal sector. It provides information that is useful to different levels in the legal career, from the application process to partnership and even in career as an In-House Counsel.
Since I started listening to the podcast, I have gained a wider perspective into the legal sector and skills needed to thrive in it.
I highly recommend this podcast!
