Stonewall Crumbling

Finally got round to listening to this fantastic podcast. It’s so well done. More of this impartiality please BBC!!

Since this podcast has been made it has become even more apparent that Stonewell’s toxic influence spreads much further than the BBC, they are in the NHS, the government, schools, charities. Companies are now leaving Stonewall like rats deserting a sinking ship, and not a moment too soon.

Important topic let down by format

This is a really important topic and I commend the BBC and the Steve Nolan show for covering it. There are many thoughtful insights but you haven to persevere through the noise of frequent podcast making/chit chat inserts which detract from the substance and flow of the investigation of the topic. Also a lot of repetition - some of which serves to overemphasise the significance of the repeated point, the substantive material could have been covered in less episodes. Episode 7 and Dr Bell are a highlight.

Journalism with a Spine

Great series covering one of the taboo subjects of our time: Stonewalls role in the rise of Gender Identity & queer theory in the UK.

In depth investigation, and journalistic integrity on show throughout. Public interest broadcasting at its finest.
A compelling listen.
